Designed by Vico Magistretti in 1977, the Atollo table lamp turns the classic bedside lamp on its head, completely revolutionizing the way we imagine the classic bedside lamp. The geometric shapes that compose it – cylinder, cone, and hemisphere – have resulted in a product that is decorative and essential at the same time, using geometric shapes to create a table lamp that is both decorative and essential.
Atollo disconnects from the historical period of the seventies to become one of the iconic designs in Italy. Available in different finishes: metal/glass.

The ADA Lamp, designed by Umberto Riva for Tacchini, reminisces on organic forms to create the archetype of a table lamp. The strength of the ADA lamp derives from the tinted fiberglass that is illuminated from within and offers a glimpse of the textured fibers. The ADA lamp is available in off-white or green in either a matte or glossy finish.

The Flowerpot lamp became synonymous with the Flower Power movement from the late 60s. Reflecting a break from convention to embrace a more open, modern mentality that promoted peace and harmony. Such was the mindset of its designer, Verner Panton. One of the most forward-thinking talents of his time. The Flowerpot series consists of several different models, including three pendants and two table lamps - all in a wide range of colors.

The Italian architect brothers Achille and Pier Giacomo Castiglioni designed the Snoopy lamp already in 1967, and Flos has updated the lamp with a modern touch sensor dimmer.
The Snoopy table lamp features a white marble cylindrical base and diffuser in glossy black or green enameled aluminum. The diffuser features three holes at the top that reveal light directly from the location of the bulb and also provide a mechanism for generated heat to escape from the Snoopy table lamp. The canted marble is balanced with the counterweight of the canted glass plate – this plate creates a wonderful profile reveal in conjunction with the perimeter of the diffuser. Snoopy table lamp is included in the permanent collection of several museums worldwide including the Museum of Modern Art, New York.

Originally conceived for use as a desk lamp, the iconic shape finds use not only on desks but generally on any bearing plane, its primary role being to light a portion of a room.
The Zanuso 275 Table Lamp / Desk Lamp by Oluce with its diffused light is suited for the soft illumination of offices and living rooms, just as for conference rooms, and provides atmospheric lighting.

𝟖. 𝐌𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐨 𝐓𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐋𝐚𝐦𝐩

These hand-blown lamps were first popularized in the ‘70s by glassmakers on Murano island in Venice, Italy. Murano glass lamps are known for their Italian craftsmanship (people have been making glass on the island for centuries), and original styles can come with a hefty price tag. With big brands now making affordable reproductions of this unique classic though, I’d wager mushroom lamps are here to stay.
